Four top orchestras from Buenos Aires will take the stage live on four consecutive days—bringing the sound, energy, and stage presence of Buenos Aires’ live tango culture right to our dance floor.

In addition to the live concerts, our DJs will host a classic tango weekend featuring afternoon and evening milongas. The program is rounded out by workshops with Emile Sansour and Simge Yüz from Intango – Tango Center Heidelberg.
With the Heidelberg Live Weekend, we aim to strengthen the live tango culture in Heidelberg and bring the unique energy of large tango orchestras to life right where it belongs: on the dance floor.
And, of course, Heidelberg is part of it: Combine four days of tango and live music with a stay in one of Germany’s most beautiful cities.
Since Monday is a holiday, we’re extending the weekend: On Pentecost Monday, we’ll wrap up the Heidelberg Live Weekend with an Afterglow Milonga 50/50.

Passports
- Full Pass – 160 € per person
The Full Pass includes admission to all milongas from Thursday through Sunday.
- Weekend Pass – 145 € per person
The Weekend Pass includes admission to all milongas from Friday through Sunday.
Single tickets will become available at a later date, depending on available capacity.

Registration and Terms and Conditions
Please register only if you are certain you want to participate.
After submitting the registration form, you will usually receive a summary of your registration and a confirmation of your registration. In some cases, the confirmation may be delayed if we first need to balance the ratio of leaders, followers, and double-role dancers. In this case, you’ll receive a response within eight days.
Your registration becomes binding upon receipt of our confirmation. The registration fee must be paid within 8 days of receiving the confirmation.
Since space is limited, we can only hold your spot for the duration of the payment period. If payment is not received even after a payment reminder, we reserve the right to cancel your registration and assign the spot to someone else.
If you are unable to attend after paying the registration fee, you may transfer your spot to a suitable substitute. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Limited number of participants
The number of participants is limited to 120.
When assigning spots, we strive to maintain a balanced ratio of leaders, followers, and dancers who perform both roles.
Tickets and Admission
Participation is possible only after prior registration and confirmation. There will be no ticket sales at the door.
No tickets will be mailed. Once your registration and payment have been confirmed, your name will be added to our guest list.
Getting there
How to Get to Heidelberg
- By plane: Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) is the nearest airport, followed by Stuttgart and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB). Mannheim City Airport offers direct flights from Berlin, Hamburg, and Sylt. Heidelberg is easily accessible from these airports by train or bus.
- By train: Deutsche Bahn offers connections to Frankfurt International Airport (~30 min by ICE), Stuttgart Airport (~75 min), and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport. If you book in advance, you can take advantage of low fares.

How to Get to the Tango Center Heidelberg

From Heidelberg Central Station, you can reach the Heidelberg Innovation Park by taking bus line 33. The nearest stop is Mary-Somerville-Platz (hip). Alternatively, you can get off at the Innovation Park (hip) stop.

Parking at the Tango Center Heidelberg
According to our location information, free parking is available for guests of Mary Somerville Plaza at the corner of Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Ring and Caroline-Herschel-Straße. Please follow the on-site signage.
Alternatively, you can park in the paid parking garage hip / P20 at Heidelberg Innovation Park.
How to Get to the Bahnstadt Community Center

You can take tram lines 22 and 26 to the Gadamerplatz stop. From there, it’s just a few steps to the community center.

Parking at the Bahnstadt Community Center
The Westarkaden underground parking garage, which charges a fee, is located nearby. Another option is the Europaplatz / P22 parking garage at Max-Planck-Ring 14.
There are a limited number of public parking spaces available on the surrounding streets. Please observe the posted fees and parking regulations.
