Heidelberg New Year’s Tango Weekend

Where Tradition Meets Tomorrow

Celebrate New Year’s Eve and the first few days of 2027 at our new Tango Center Heidelberg.

Four days, six milongas—each with its own musical identity: from traditional tango to contemporary and alternative sounds.

Where Tradition Meets Tomorrow

This motto describes how we understand tango. Its future does not lie in leaving tradition behind, but in building upon it. Tradition and innovation do not have to be opposites. They can inspire each other, open up new perspectives, and further develop social tango.

Our Winter School with Simge & Emile also picks up on this dialogue and explores how tradition and contemporary influences can be combined on the dance floor.

Between milongas, there’s time to explore Heidelberg during the New Year’s celebrations and enjoy the city’s special atmosphere.

The number of participants is limited to 100 dancers. When confirming registrations, we ensure a balanced distribution of dance roles.

Registration begins: August 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

Registration and Terms and Conditions

Please register only if you are certain you want to participate.

After submitting the registration form, you will usually receive a summary of your registration and a confirmation of your registration. Since space is limited, we can only hold your spot for the duration of the payment period. If payment is not received even after a payment reminder, we reserve the right to cancel your registration and assign the spot to someone else.

If you are unable to attend after paying the registration fee, you may transfer your spot to a suitable substitute. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Limited number of participants

The number of passes is limited to 100.

When assigning spots, we strive to maintain a balanced ratio of leaders, followers, and dancers who perform both roles.
