In 2026, NEO NIGHTS turns 10!
For a full decade, NEO NIGHTS has brought dancers from all over the world together—for music, connection, inspiration, and unforgettable nights on the Neotango dance floor.
With ten consecutive editions, NEO NIGHTS is now one of Europe’s established Neotango festivals.
From May 1–3, 2026, we’re returning to Cinema Paradiso & Arte in Ludwigshafen (near Mannheim and Heidelberg) to celebrate this anniversary with you.
This special edition brings together an international line-up of artists and top-level teachers—2026 will be a true celebration of Neotango culture.
Friday & Saturday: Neo Nights & Days
The core of NEO NIGHTS remains unchanged:
Friday and Saturday are 100% dedicated to Neotango—focused, thoughtfully curated, and with a clear commitment to quality and flow.
Sunday – Open Afterparty: 50/50
The Sunday afterparty is intentionally open and connecting. It builds a bridge between Neotango and traditional tango.
We believe strong tango cultures don’t compete—they inspire and enrich each other.
The afterparty is an invitation to meet, exchange, and inspire one another beyond stylistic boundaries.
Of course, you decide for yourself which parts of the festival feel right for you.

Pre-festival milonga: Dance into May
Milonga evening with live music, traditional DJ sets, and lots of dancing
After 8 years, they’re back in Heidelberg: Otros Aires live
Otros Aires are a world-renowned audiovisual electro-tango project. Over 21 years of artistic work, they have released 8 studio albums and 1 live album and played more than 40 international tours. Their music has been heard in over 200 cities across Europe as well as North and South America.
On November 9, 2018, Otros Aires were officially declared culturally significant by the City of Buenos Aires.
For dancers who experience tango as a living culture and appreciate classic tango as much as its contemporary form of expression.
The evening stands on its own—and also marks the opening of Neo Nights.

We value a harmonious ronda, a shared flow on the dance floor, and a respectful atmosphere.
LOCATION
“Dance into May” will take place at a suitable event venue in Heidelberg.
The venue is currently being finalized.
Key factors in our choice are the quality of the dance floor, acoustics, and atmosphere—so this live tango evening can unfold in all its intensity.

The venue is hidden in a backyard. The entrance is to the left of the “Rudolf Scharpf Gallery”. Just follow the red carpet. 🙂

HOW TO GET TO LUDWIGSHAFEN:
- By plane: Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) is the closest airport, followed by Stuttgart and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB). Mannheim City Airport offers direct flights from Berlin, Hamburg, and Sylt. From the airports, Ludwigshafen is easy to reach by train or bus.
- By train: Deutsche Bahn offers connections to Frankfurt International Airport (~30 min by ICE), Stuttgart Airport (~75 min) and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport. If you book in advance, you can benefit from lower prices.

HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE:
From Ludwigshafen main station, you can take bus “RNV 70” to Goerdelerplatz (11 min travel time). The bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the venue. Bus “RNV 97” runs hourly at night from BASF Süd (2-minute walk).

There are some free parking spaces on Hemshofstraße, Goerdelerplatz, Leuchnerstraße, and Rohrlachstraße.
